POLL: Laundry.....

Ok, this question is geared towards anyone who lives only with FH/DH/FW/DW...meaning, not with kids. I am asking this because it occurred to me just now that I do an average of FIVE loads of laundry a WEEK! And that's JUST FOR JT and ME! This seems excesive to me, so I am curious how many loads everyone else does. I imagine it would be more if you have children, which is why I mentioned those who don't have kids.

I would like to add that we have a big washer and dryer AND I do the max capacity each time. I swear, I think people are sneaking their laundry in with mine!

I do 4:

2 darks
1 white
1 towels

and every other weekend, sheets to make it 5 loads. Woo hoo.

I do 3 loads sometimes 4 per week, put our washing machine here in Ireland is extremely tiny!

I do one color and one white a week, if everything is nasty, then I end up with 2 colored loads

I probably do a bleach load, dark load, medium (lol - we have a lot of GRAY), towel load, 'work' load (cold & gentle) and sheet load ... never mind comforters ...

Without a doubt, it's at least a work load and two other clothing loads every weekend.


I have tons of comforters so I don't haev to do them as soon as they are dirty ... they stay on the floor in the basement and before you know it, I have a MOUNTAIN of blankets down there!!! AGH!!!

I do laundry 1x a week and usually about 6 loads.

1 Whites
1 Darks
1 Pastels
1 Towels
1 Sheets
1 Jeans

It used to be 5 but since we got the new super capacity washer and dryer it is down to 2, sometimes 3. I love that machine!

I usually enmd up doing a ton b/c Fh doens't sort it properly or it's all over the house, so i'll miss stuff that should ahve been in the load


usually

2 dark delicates (cold)
1 colored delicates (cold)
1 regular colored
1-2 whites
sheets
towels

every 2 weeks I do FH's jeans...he wear s suit, so he only wears jeans on weekends, so I don't have to wash them that much. I'm in sweats most of the time b/c I'm always at the gym doing my PT.

wow, it's more than I even thought!

I feel like all I do is wash and fold clothes. Since Michael plays soccer he has he practice clothes, uniform, clothes he wears to the field.
Plus we have all our other clothes. I do laundry twice a week, min. 3 loads each time.
