i have tried and sometimes it works - other times it is a complete disaster!!!
i have strange friends though....sot hat might be the problem!

I find the friends I have made after college and as an adult tend to do a much better job of mixing with other friends. The HS group tends to still be a bit clique-ish and not as interested in meeting other friends (like at my wedding....)
In the cases where I have friends at work I would choose to see outside of work (not really at the present time) they tend to remain in a self contained group.

I don't keep in touch with high school friends at all. I went away to school in CT and we all just parted ways after graduation. My college friends and work friends didn't mix too well, and my college friends REALLY don't mix with DH's high school friends.

My high school friends tend to mix well with anyone, and so does one of Mr Boots' high school friends, but not the other. I'm not in touch with my college friends anymore, but Mr Boots' college friend is a fairly good mixer.
We're just lazy and don't mix them...

I see them separately. Some of them know eachother from HS, but not very well. They'll see eachother at my wedding. There might be some awkwardness, but I don't see any problems.

I thought I could and I have..Im always got friends from every direction. Just recently it backfired on me. Both are in my wedding party and well, they HATE each other and I dont see it getting any better. Im afraid of what might happen come the planning and one already said is she saw her, she would bawl her out! So not cool and not sure what to do!

Everytime I hang out with my friends its pretty much always mixed. As a matter of fact some of my HS friends now hang out with my college friends when I'm not even there. We all did a summer share together a few years ago so that's how they all met. I love the fact that all my friends get along! It was nice at my bach party, shower and wedding - they all knew each other.

Whenever I have a party, it's a complete mix of friends, including DH's friends, and everyone seems to mix pretty well.

DH and I both have high school friends who merged with college friends because we all went to Hofstra. DH has known his best friend since jr. high and they went to Hofstra together (with another high school friend). One of my best friends and I went to Hofstra together. I became friends with DH's friend and he introduced us and the group grew. It may have had roots in jr high but it expanded in college.
Work friends are another story. They are usually just work and happy hour. WIth one friend as the exception and she moved away so I never really have an opportunity to mix her with my other friends.
