First let me start by saying that my wedding colors are 3 different shades of pink, (due to my complete screw up in choosing fabric for the sash to go around the FG's waist) and ivory. There is no purple anywhere in my wedding. When I first bought the flowers for my kissing balls they only had a few bunches (shades of pink, white and purple) in each bunch. So I was forced to add purple to the balls. I was upset to do it because I really couldn't add a 5th color to the wedding scheme.. but I had no choice. However they looked AMAZING with the purple.. still didn't match though..A few months later they had three more bunches. So I thinned out the purple and added more pink and white.
Well I went back to the store and they had tons more bushes.. So I got a lot more. Now I can take out all the purple.. I love them with the purple in but I really really and upset that there is no other purple in the wedding.. So I tried taking them out of one ball.. It looks okay but so much better with the purple.IMO. BUT AGAIN.. No other purple anywhere in the wedding and I am NOT willing to add purple in ANYWHERE else in the wedding. I think it is too many colors.
SO The first pic the balls with A LOT of purple... the second pic is the balls with the purple thinned out. The Third and fourth pics are of the balls I took all of the purple out of...(the one on the left.. the one on the right is a thinned out one so you can compare)
What do you think?
ETA: The last three pics are in this album because they wouldn't resize click here
I would say to thin the purple out because it becomes dominant in the first picture. If it's no where else in the wedding, it may look strange. And I think the balls look just as lovely with less of the purple
I also wanted to add that I misread your post's title originally and it made me giggle

So you think I should just thin the purple out.. or take it out completly? The 3rd and 4th pics are the purple taken out all together.

I think either thin it out - or remove it completely. I love the way they look in all of the pictures....so you can't lose no matter what you do

I like the purple. But I do think you should really thin it out.

Stupid question-but what are 'kissing balls'? I see them , but what are they used for or where to they go?

My vote was for thinned out purple. It's okay to have an additional hint of color with your flowers; I have pink in my flowers and our colors are red and white. I do have a question, though. What are kissing balls? They're very pretty, but what are they used for? Are they different than the bridesmaid bouquets? Sorry, I've never heard of them defore, and feel like I'm missing out or forgetting something. Please fill me in. Thanks.

The thinned out is great! It breaks it up nicely!

They are for the FG's to carry. I don't want mine to throw flowers

Although I love love love the purple (ok, that's my wedding colors so I am biased)... I am leaning towards all pink.
If I wasn't OCD, then I would say do the purple in there because I love it.
The only other thing is to get a reallllly dark pink (almost reddish) in there so your OCD doesn't go crazy and gives it a bit more oomph.
Ok, but my final vote is for all pink. It looks lovely and carries with our, oops I mean your, theme!

It's ok to add a lil purple in the flowers even tho it's not in the rest of the wedding. But I would def thin it out so it doesn't take over the rest of the color.
