We're thinking of having bowls of candy on our tables, a different candy for each table that corresponds to our table name. I wanted to get some wholesale crystal candy dishes from Mikasa or somewhere like that. We're giving away our centerpieces at the end of the night. Should we also give away the candy dishes? They are nice dishes and I won't need 24 of them. what do you think? We could do something like the two people at the table with the closest birthday to june 17th gets them...
Oh, I saw that in the catalog! That is soooo cute!

Re: Poll: nice idea, or cheesy?
I think it's a great idea. Maybe you and your MC can figure out a cool way to give them away with a game or something

Yeah, there are some good whole sale deals, but it will still cost close to $100 for 24 dishes. I'd feel better about spending the money if at least some of my guests get to take something home.
with the centerpiece giveaway and 2 bowls, and 12 people per table, 1/4 of our guests will go home with something besides their favors

I think this is great. Just keep in mind if you have small children, not to put really small candy on the tables.

Yeah, but they will be with their parents. I'm thinking of m&m's, sweedish fish, non-pariels, jordan almonds, etc. There should only be two very young children, and the parents will be watching them.
