FH & I are moving in together after the wedding. My Parents are old fashioned and said no way in hell they would pay for a wedding if I lived with FH before. Oh well.

Totally understand that. I never thought I would live with FH pre-marriage (or that my parents would accept it) but I was paying for a 2 bedroom solo after my sister got married in early 07 and FH's old roomate is getting married this May so we just decided that since he was living in NJ and I in NYC it made sense for him to move in. We are paying for our own wedding so our parents both seem to have accepted it as a way for us to save $. He officially moved in last month.

we're moving in together in 2 months... but was just told queens doesnt have cablevision system so his work 'perk' of free cable would be lost.... no good... guess im gonna have to try to be a nassau girl!

I thought I would wait until we were engaged at least before I actually move in. But things didn't happen that way i moved in a year ago. My parents weren't happen at first but now they know and love FH that they don't mind as much. So I live with FH :)

I guess you can say we live together We both stay at his parents house until closer to the wedding, you know any less we have to spend until then is great But .....don't laugh...his very traditional mom, my fmil makes us stay in seperate rooms

After being together for 9 1/2 years we finally moved in!!!!!
2 months later he proposed!!!!
12 months later......... we're getting married!!!!
We're getting married on Our 11th Anniversary!!!....1/16/09

I was staying at his place so much that i just moved in. He had moved here from California for me though, so i only felt it was right to keep him company.
My parents are paying but were okay with it since he had just finished in the Marine Corps. They praise him lol
