Poll Re: Including Honeymoon Registry Cards in Invitations
Debi is here, and will be stuffing invitations. She asked me to ask you ladies about putting Honeymoon Registry Cards in the wedding invitations. Someone close to someone, not me, indicated it would be tacky, but Fred agreed with Debi that many guests might be relieved to see a helpful card; I know I would!!!! Thanks!!!! Mary MOB

I'm sorry Mary, but I do think it's a little inappropriate...I would hate to look like I am asking for gifts. I would pass it around through word of mouth....(or I would ask my mom and my FH's mom to start doing so....)
JMO though, I'm sure some people will disagree!

Re: Poll Re: Including Honeymoon Registry Cards in Invitations
Mary I am not doing this for mine. I voted no but don't necessarily think it is takcy either. It depends how bad she wants stuff purchashed from that registry.
Mine were already sent out to 75 people for the shower and I figured that is enough.
Also what honeymoon registry is she doing? I know with mine u need to cash out and leave x amount of days to receive the $$$. Not a big deal but if people wait until last min to get a gift she will have to cash out that $$$ after the wedding. Really not a big deal tho. On a final note...I think including a BB&B regitry could be tacky but that is diff. Also in other parts of the country they include ALL registries in the wedding invitation! Crazy!!!

Really, in other parts of the country, they do include the cards?? Debi was told not to do it for New York guests. But Deb and Fred really want people to know the Honeymoon Registry is what they want to receive as Wedding gifts. I'll let Debi figure it out. Thanks!! Mary MOB

Re: Poll Re: Including Honeymoon Registry Cards in Invitations
I would include them then...but either way isnt it just the same as $$ in the end?
And yes...I know in Utah, AZ, etc they all put their registry on their invitation! I think it is because most people give gifts as opposed to cash at those weddings.

Well, the problem is we have NY guests who give $, and yes, that's the same as the registry, and we have Pa. guests who think gifts are the way to go. Debi had hoped guests would look at their website, to see they're registered for their honeymoon, but she hasn't heard that many people have done that, and if they have no computer, then, they really don't have a clue, unless someone communicates it another way. I would not add them. We are using them for the shower...I don't think anything like that should be added to the invites for the actual wedding.

Re: Poll Re: Including Honeymoon Registry Cards in Invitations
Personally, I wouldn't put them in...but a way around it could be to have a wedding website, put registry info on there, and then only put website info in the invites. It's more of a roundabout way so it doesn't look like anyone is asking for gifts. Then guests will appreciate having a place to find out other info for the wedding in addition to the registry. JMO though

I totally agree. Registry cards should not go in wedding invites, but can go on a wedding website.

Jillian, they have a website and the registry is on the site, but if guests don't look at the site, or have a computer, they won't know. So, Debi was thinking of another way to communicate this info. Thanks for your input!! Mary MOB
