Completely anonymous - how much $$ did you get from your guests at your wedding?

Its hard to compare this because everyone has a different amt of guests at their wedding, maybe you can make a poll average gift per person...

This is defintely something i am curious about

I would also add that people from out of town may send tangible gifts in advance (we had that happen) and especially guests who are not familiar with a wedding in the NY Metropolitan area may not be as inclined to give a gift in the same way a person who is used to NY weddings would.

It also depends on how much you paid for your reception. We actually got back more than we put in to the reception but when you know the dollar amount, it seems small. We had a small wedding and a fairly inexpensive place.
