Okay, so here's the deal: I do not have very many 'best' girlfriends; my absolute 'best' friend is a guy, and one of my other 'best' friends is also a guy. So far, I have 3 bridesmaids and one maid of honor. My fiance has 4 groomsmen and one best man. I was thinking of adding my two best guy friends to the mix... making it:
1 Maid of Honor 3 Bridesmaids 1 Best Man 6 Groomsmen
I hate even thinking about this, but my dilemma is the pictures (I know, shallow, I'm admiting it). How would this look in the pictures?
I spoke with my best (guy) friend about him not being in the wedding, and he is totally okay with it (he's a reader right now), but I know he really would prefer to be a groomsman. As for my other very good guy friend, we haven't spoken at all about him being in the wedding, but I'm sure he would be pleasantly surprised if I asked him to be in the wedding, although he wouldn't EXPECT to be in it.
What do you girls think?

do you have any ring bearers or flowergirls? I dont think I would look bad, I think you should add your guys in? what does your fiance think?

No ring bearers of flower girls. My fiance is cool with whatever I want to do... my best guy friend is like family to me, and he knows that... and as for the other very good guy friend, he is the one who introduced me to both my fiance and my best guy friend.

We're having 4 bridesmaids, 1 MOH, 6 groomsmen, and 1 BM. So it is 5 girls and 7 guys. One of the guys is my cousin who I am very close with and wanted in the wedding party. Plus, FH as 4 friends from grammar school that are his best friends and he couldn't leave anyone out. For me, I tend to be better friends with guys, and I have a few close girlfriends that are in the wedding party. I didn't want to put anyone in the party that I wasn't close with. So it's uneven, but at least our bridal party is made up of our closest friends and family.

i am having my very good guy friend in the bridal party, if fiance doesnt want him on his side you can add him on your side its ok if it is uneven, mine is...no biggie

i have bridesmen. Several of my closets friends are men. Instead of having the dress in the colors of the groomsmen I have them wearing the brides colars. What you can do is this, say your colars are blue and green. Have your FH men wear the blue vest and have your men wear the green. That way it shows that you have an equal number on your side. Also with ring bears and flower girls it should all even up.

I think its totally fine to have an uneven number. But I was thinking, if these are your very good friends, why not have them be 'bridesmen'? A lot of people are doing this now. They would dress in tuxes just like the other guys, but would stand on your side for the ceremony and pics.

I think it's a great idea and you should go for it. I don't think you would regret it at all. The photographer can play around with the positioning in group photos and I think it would look just fine!

If you have 3 BM and 6 GM, each girl can walk between two guys. IMHO, I think this would look fine. That said, our BP is uneven - he has two best men, and I have 1 MOH. My MOH will be escorted back up the aisle with both BM.

We are having 5 BM's and 2 GM's...so I don't think there is anything wrong w/ it as long as the people who are up there w/ you are important to you.
