i know.. us too..... can you believe it used to be just the father of the bride flipping the bill? Forget that these days!

mine was under 20,000 before the honeymoon...

then one day i go ' oh sh*T, thats a big expense that should be included'...
so then i added 3500

We are paying ourselves. My parents are paying for her gown.

The reception hall alone closes in on 30000. So you can guess the rest Hehehehehhe.

My best suggestion is to try and pay on a monthly or bimonthly basis , or at least set up a savings acct. So if you have to cancel or change something the vendor doesn't have all your money. We are paying every other month to the reception hall and have just booked Duet and as you can guess most vendors would love to have you pay so often.

We didn't want to owe everyone the week of our wedding, some crazy amount of 20,000 or something ridiculous like that.


Best wishes to everyone . We are all on this journey together. The end will definitely justify the MEANS ( I know some of you are hating all the saving and overtime we all have to put in ).


Anyone asking for money towards the honeymoon? I was thinking of it. Is it in poor taste?

I dont' have to take a wild guess - I keep close tabs on the final number....I know pretty much exactly how much we'll need and how much we're saving for it!
I'm really anal about things like that!
