wow. I can't believe 10 people have said yes. Kind of makes me a little sick, but we're all human i guess. I do believe that people change.

I've written about this before...but its because i feel really stongly about it..

My dad left my mom after having an affair for years. The woman he got involved with knew he was married with 6 children. I hold him most responsible of course..no doubt about it...

But to this day i can't bear to look at them together. It destroyed our family for a while, and my mother..a wonderful, caring and loving person suffered for years and it still hurts her.

Just keep in mind..if you choose to get involved with a married person (man or woman) its not just one life you are messing around with...many others could be involved. Yes, the married person is equally at fault, and yes they might find another way to cheat but...just something to think about.

I have a hard time with this too because of close family members that have been shattered by their husbands' affairs.

I recently found out that SIL has been having an affair with a married man for about 3 months and that he left his wife of over 20 years for her. She is younger and single and thrilled; I'm disgusted with her. She got involved with him knowing that he was married. I feel like her actions were so selfish.

LesleyW...thats terrible about your SIL...if I were in your shoes, I don't think I could have a relationship with her. I also wonder...don't people realize...if the person left a marriage to be with them...what makes them think it won't happen to them?

My fathers new wife had the nerve to say to me 'you know Maureen, you can't help who you fall in love with'. Ummm yes you can..its called the second you find out they are married (which would hopefully be in the very beginning) you WALK AWAY and find someone else in this enormous world. I wanted to slap her.

Yeah, it's really tough. I just hope this relationship doesn't last, the thought of having to be around them is terrible. I keep saying the same thing 'once a philanderer always a philanderer.' It's just bad news -- you don't persue a married man period.

At least you have a happy ending. It could have turned out so differently..you remid me of the episode last night on Sex and the city when Big's gf/wife came home and Carrie ran out of the house.

i know, i saw that!!!!! i totally felt like Carrie!!! except i felt bad for his GF..... but the truth is they were only 'together' b/c of their lease.. he wasnt in love with her, just going through the motions.... and he was scared & confused what to do cuz i was so much younger than he....

My friend was telling me that where she works in her office, that are severalffice affairs going on- and both sides are married!!! It happens more often than you think- how screwed up is that?

OMG my old job was like this. People would go to lunch together and one would come back in a little later than the other so people wouldnt figure it out..but we sure did.

lol thats what i did!!! once FH dropped me off at work on his day off... but he had work to do anyway, so he came in a few minutes later than me.... it mustve been so obvious something was going on.... i wasnt even working that day! i just had to go back cuz i told my mom i was working and she was picking me up!!!!

as bad as it is... i must admit office romance/affairs are very fun & exciting

IMO...what goes around comes around...

In the back of my mind i will always wonder...is my man doing what i did???

Is my man, the guy that cheated on his SO/wife, going to do that to me?
