I think I am going to wear my veil the whole time- I figure it will deter people from looking at my arms- or at least make me feel more covered

I had 2 veils, a cathedral veil and a circle veil (the comb was attached in the center) I wore both for the ceremony and wound up taking the cathedral out after the ceremony (it was too windy to deal with) and wore the circle all night, I had no intentions of wearing it all night but Im glad I did.

I dont think you need to get another veil for the reception, I would just wear the same one from the ceremony

ditto! i may take it off after the first dance if its driving me crazy.

I cant make any promises but I think I will try and keep mine on as long as possible. Or until it annoys me.

I think i look absolutely ridiculous in a veil so I'm probablynot goign to wear one at all. My mom is really pushing for it though so maybe i'll get a short one for the ceremony but as of right now I really don't want to

I planned on not wearing my veil all night...but ended up wearing it because by the time I realized I wanted to take it off it was late anyway!

I don't think I will wear a veil. I am having beach wedding so it might get in the way.

I had a cathedral length veil and I literally took it off the second the ceremony was over! It was so annoying to wear - the wind kept blowing it around, it kept getting stuck on things, and it felt like it was pulling on my hair. But I know some brides leave their veils on during the reception (usually if the veils are shorter). It's really up to you!

my veil came in two peices....i had a cathedral & then a shorter length as well. the cathedral I left on for most pics, but obviously took it off before the reception. The shorter length one i left on for our first dance & such - and then took it off a little while after dinner. Honestly i wish i would've left it on. It looks so pretty in photos...and in the photos where i took it off it just looks like somethings missing. I say wear it for atleast a little while..

My veil is a mantilla veil that complements my rather simple dress. I'm going to wear it for the entire day since I think it helps complete the look. If my dress were more elaborate, or if I were to have my hair done up, I'd probably not wear it....

I loved my veil. It had 3 sections: blusher, veil, cathedral train.

I left on the blusher and veil and swept them back. It looked great in the pics & I don't regret it. I have a few pics of my hair before I stuck the veil in it....and I like the ones with the veil better (BUT...it did make the hair trial and up-do almost a complete waste)

I hear you on the covering my arms up! But, everyone I talked to said when people hug you they always pull on it. They dont mean to its just annoying. But, I am gonna wear one the whole time b/c i think its so nice and classy!!
