are you planning a wedding out of NY? Most RH's here will include the price of the alcohol in their price pp so a lot of girls on here might not know what an open bar costs pp

I had my reception in a restaurant and had to pay and extra 15 bucks per person for open bar. My SIL, who works in the industry told me that 15 pp is standard.

I didn't know it was broken down. Pretty sure it has become standard on Long Island.

Most RHs in my area (Saratoga County) include various hours of open bar in the package (with extras per person for top shelf or extended hours)
FH and I are getting married on a steamship and the bar packages are seperate from the dinner and cruise fare per person
For beer and wine it's 15pp for 2 hours and 19 pp for 3 hours
for house and call brands it's 21pp for 2 hours and 27 pp for 2 hours
for top shelf it's 24pp for 2 hours and 32 for 3hours
after seeing th post about 15pp being an industry standard I am going to do a little research before finalizing out bar package - that's a huge difference from what we have been quoted!
