Mine is a modest round solitare (small by most standards) in yellow gold- my wedding band is a wrap that will bring 3 little side stones around it on each side. I'm not big on the diamond thing. I kept telling FH that if we got a Russian Brilliant fake stone no one would know. Not CZ or Moissonite- they don't look as good...I lost that battle.
It's very classy and pretty tho, good thing I have small hands...
My MOH has a 10,000 platinum rock that's gorgeous but worth almost as much as her car!! With her wedding band I'm sure it went over her car $$. Eh, to each their own!

Mine is dh's grandmother's from about 1910 or so. Originally, the diamonds were taken from his great grandfather's ring and made into a wedding band for dh's grandmother. It is a family airloom and it is beautiful! It is platinum, it has a round stone set in a square prong setting and it has two small square inset diamonds on both sides and two triangle diamonds facing outward. It is very unique!
That's what I wanted FH to do...my Grandmother's ring is beautiful and she wanted me to have it! He was too superstitious tho...she didn't have the best luck so I can't blame him completely...

the center is 1.1 and the side stones are .35 each-white gold-I dont know all the other stuff off hand... FH did a good job!
Im not into the whole 'what size is your stone' thing. I think that is very unecessary information for anyone to know. No offense and im not trying to be rude. Im just not into that whole thing. But I will be happy to post a pic

I have a princess set stone 1.51 with 5 diamondas princess on each side in a channel setting totals 1.00 ct. the entire ring is 2.5ct.
Mines an antique style ring- total weight is 2.7 carrots with a princess cut middle stone. He picked it out himself! That's him holding the ring...

I don't know what size and all that stuff because it never really interested me..I just think its beautiful and sparkly and I can't stop looking at it!
Here's mine, can't seem to get a good photo of it...(maybe with the new camera, now I can!!)
1 carat brilliant cut total (.75 center stone and .15 side round stones) and I could give a rats azz if people think that 1 carat isn't big enough!!! Anything larger just looked weird on my hand!!
