POLL: Which of these should we give as a gift? **UPDATED**

Background: we're going to a wedding 2 weeks before our own, close friends, FH is in the bp and the groom is in ours. i want to give a gift appx $350 (FH, a non-NYer, thought that was outrageous but i don't think it's THAT much, they are very good friends). we're having a registry gift sent bc they are not from the east coast and we want to follow 'what's done' in that part of the country. don't tell me to just send a check, FH feels strongly about sending a gift.

*shipping is flat rate $19.95 for $250-350. prices below include tax and shipping. i'm gettng ready to head to BBB and our options there are:

1: 8 piece wusthof knife set - bbb coupons exclude it. not sure if we can use it anyway (they let my grandma use coupons on lenox which is also excluded) --- $332 w/ coupon, $400+ w/out



2. 4 place settings of their china (kilbarry platinum) -- $348 w/ coupon



3. lismore crystal pitcher and salt/pepper shakers $348 w/ coupon





i could also do a combo of 1-2 place settings with some other pieces from their china

thoughts?


**UPDATE: We were able to use the coupon on the knives, so we went with that. 4 place settings was our backup but I liked the idea of it being something specific that they'd remember as being from us

Knives, hands down. Wusthofs are incredible knives too (I registered for them too ). She'll def. appreciate them and be able to use them, especially if she cooks.

I voted for the knives with the coupon. . only because it throws you out of your price range without.
