One of the reasons I'm having mine at JT is because of how everyone raved to me and my FH about the food there!

thats a hard question because everyone likes different things - i am going to be 100% honest - i do not like catering hall food - no matter where it is ive never felt satisfied - to me it never tastes as good as something you would make at home or order out in a restaurant - my FH is in the wedding business and has worked at so many places in NJ - to him its all the same and he doesnt ever want to eat anything because he is sick of it - he says its all the same - we recently went to a wedding at Russos and i asked him if the food was good and he said it was alright - i also asked him at the TWOTY and he had the same response - i figured since he has tasted food from so many places he would know whats good or not but to him he said its all the same...ive been to weddings at both JT and Russos and i thought the food was decent at both of them - i think russos is one of those places that has a reputation for having good food and thats the first thing people think of when they hear Russos....i am getting married at JT - i only eat shrimp cocktail, pasta, salad, and the VH and thats at any wedding

I have not been to either place. That said, I have read many raves about the food at Russos being spectacular. Both are great halls though, probably cant go wrong with either!

I dont have an opinion about the other place but I had my wedding at JT and the food was fricken delicious. I even incorporated spanish foods into my menu and they got that right too. I wish I could have enjoyed it more but I was so busy!!

You really can't go by what anyone else thinks. Tell your cousin to go fro a tasting. I've heard both places are great.

Since your cousin isn't getting married until next year, they have plenty of time to go for tastings at both places so they can decide on their own what they like best.

why dont you have your cousin go to both places to do a tasting and just let him decide.

Yeah i mentioned to her to go and ask for a food tasting. I gave her my opinion, since we both have the same taste in food. I believe she will go in the next few weeks, hopefully.

OMG drama...yikes...wouldn't wanna cause that!

DENISE IS RIGHT HAVE HER GO TO BOTH PLACES AND TRY THE FOOD AND GO OVER PRICES AND DECOR AND STUFF AN HAVE HER DECIDE. BOTH PLACES ARE REALLY NICE.

unless both weddings have the same exact menu its hard to judge - like if you went to a wedding where someone goes all out at JT and upgrades everything and you compare it to a wedding at Russos that didnt have any upgrades it might seem like the JT food was better b/c there was more of a selection, more things to try, more chances to like something - so even that makes it hard to judge.....i think russos def has a reputation for good food though...i know a girl who booked there just for that reason (b/c people associate it with good food) and her wedding was great!
