Poll: Who will not be at your wedding that you wish could be there?

Original post by CubanBride

I wish my grandfather could be there. He died when I was 9 or 10, and I barely remember him, but for some reason I feel a strong connection to him.

I wish I had a normal, loving mother who would be there, but since she is the devil, she won't be.

I'd give anything to have my dad there. He passed away right before I met FH and had my last two babies. I'd also give anything to have my grandparents there. They passed when I was little.

My grandmother who died when I was a teenager. She practically raised me. I really miss her. I know she will be there in spirit!

Also, my family in Milan. I just met them for the first time last year and really fell in love with them. I wish they could come!

My great grandparents who died 3 months apart from each other when I was 11. They had been married 64 years and were still very visibly in love.

I wish my Dad and his siblings could have been there, but they have all passed

I also wish my sister could have been there, but she is not well and we have not had contact with her in years. I really missed her there, but she is not the same sister I grew up with.

I wish my brother could be at my wedding. He perished on 9/11 saving lives as a NY city firefighter. I know he will be in my heart on that day as he is every day.

Also, my uncle will not be the wedding. He is a priest and was supposed to marry us but he is in charge of a religous retreat to visit holy sites in Rome the same week as my wedding. I never checked the date with him just assuming he would be available. He married my brothers and my sister. I was very sad when I heard the news. He tried everything he could to get someone to cover for him but he couldn't. The travel ageant said if he cancelled the trip he would not only pay for his trip but everyone else who cancelled thereafter. It is a cruise to Rome. I was bummed.

Too many people to count, my uncle who passed away a couple of years ago and was always the life of the party, decent, honest, and HILARIOUS, my FH favorite aunt who passed away so many years ago and she still has left such an important part on his heart. Her husband who is now estranged from the. We keep in touch with him but my FH mother hates him, I think she blames him for not doing enough for her chronically ill sister. Its so sad because he's one of those people that you just meet for the first time and feel like crying because he just....he's just such an amazing man.

I wish and pray my Mom could be here with me through ever step of the planning. She passed away 4 years ago this month. I know she had everything to do with FI and I meeting...she was looking out for me...hoping I get the best and I did! Actually this entire wedding planning process has gone just right...I know she's got a hand in that too!

My Dad, who passed away, would have been thrilled to see his girl finally get married after all these years.
