I want to do something different for favors. Which would you rahter get, a set of silver pear shaped salt and pepper shakers or a set of two pear candles? I am leaning toward the S&P shakers. Would it be to 'peary' to have little silver pear placecard holders too? Thanks!

I would also do the S&P shaker. Candles eventually burn out, but the S&P can last for more than 10hrs. IMO...I would rather receive a favor that can be used more often. Don't get me wrong, I love candles, but if I had to stick w/ one...I would go for the S&P Shaker. Ohhh...you know what would be cute, I just thought of this. Put salt in the Salt Shaker and pepper in the Pepper Shaker. I wonder if you would be able to dye the salt and pepper two shades of green. Sorry...all my creative juices are flowing.
Doing the pear shaped place holders is also an awesome idea...it goes really well w/ the whole pear theme.

I like the S&P shakers - I rarely use decorative candles - I hate to melt them.

That was the theme for our e-party. We did chocolate pear shaped lollipops and they were a big hit. We tied them with printed ribbon, on one side it said our names and on the other it said 'A perfect pair'. We also bought the fake pears and scattered them on each table around the flowers. The cake also said 'A perfect pair' and the West End Cafe (delish!) put poached pears on it.
LOVE this idea...Harry & Davids has DELICIOUS pears!!!

I love this!! I am actually planning our E-Party too (April 23). This would be great to do. Where did you get the molds for the pears? Also, where did you get the ribbon? I love it!!!

We didn't make the lollipops ourselves (I wish I were that patient). A vendor on here made them for me, Cheryl from Fabulous Favors. We also ordered our invitations from her. I don't have a pic handy but they had a really pretty drawing of pears on the front and it said A Perfect Pair.
I would not recommend the website I ordered the ribbons from, I had major issues. Cheryl could order them also, otherwise most favor places do printed ribbon.

I would say candles and here's why. I personally think the S&P shakers would be great, but they might not get a lot of use since people usually already have a set S&P shaker that matches their decor or dishes.
