oops let's see if this works... cushion is a modified round brilliant cut, sort of like a princess cut but with more rounded corners and the facets more like a round... it's a cut that was very popular in the 20's (back then known as the old mine cut)...
Asscher is like emerald, but with 8 sides and more facets.
I have a cushion, bezel set...

Mine is a princess with corner prongs...
Is anyone else having problems with their setting? Mine has already been reset once into a new ring and now the stone is loose again... I don't know if I should take it back again or just wait and god forbid something should happen to the stone, it's insured.. I'd hate to be apart from it for another 10 weeks.
Mine is a princess w/ 4 prongs and i love it!!
I have had it adjusted though b/c it was loose - i have heard this complaint before - i don't know if it is because of the 4 prongs or the shape! It's something Im concerned about but luckily haven't really experienced.
I'd have it tightened - mine was fixed in a half hour while i stood there watching - just to tighten it shouldnt take 10 weeks!

Mine is a round modified brilliant....I think it is the same as radiant
radiant's aren't round. Mine is a radiant. it's like a princess but it has cut corners.
That is exactly what a round modified brilliant is. It is square with cut corners (I think more facets than a princess), but it looks almost exactly like a princess - especially because I have corner prongs - so you cannot even see the cut corners. I still do not understand why they call it 'round'. FH said that the buyer that found the diamond for him explained that they are made from the same stone as the round brilliant because thay are the most brilliant and cut it into the square shape.
