Polyeurothane (sp?)

has anyone polyeurothaned their floors themselves??? I want to do Mat Poly and so far it looks like we dont need to sand and I wanted to hear others experiences..

I had mine professionally done. Was contemplating doing it myself, but it's just too much of a hassle. You have to make sure you have it on evenly, then it must be completely dry before the next coat, and I don't care how thick a mask you put on you can't NOT get loopy from the fumes.

P.S. I would sand it anyway, whatever stuff that's on the wood would only be fixed into if you just polyurethaned over it. You will see much better results if you sand it first.
