Re: Pompei in West Hempstead
Ive been there many times. My brother had his rehearsal dinner there, and while I was there there was a High School Reunion going on in the next room. It is very elegant and nice. Small, not as big as a reception hall of course but classy I hope this helps!

I had a good time at a wedding there. Not a pricey spot. I think it was in a basement.
I would give $100.

That is what I was thinking. My mom said $50- I think that $100 is better but then again,, I hope what goes around comes around later this year

I've been to a very nice bridal shower there and I go there quite often for dinner. The food is really good and they are very reasonable. They have a very pretty atrium room where a lot of showers are held.

we are freinds with the owners. I had my shower there and we are having my sisters shower also. My friends from work are STILL talking about the food there. The decor isn't the best, but the food is to die for. If you need any more info FM me!

I agree its not a pricey place, but I'm pretty sure they don't have any basement rooms
Its a decent place as far as Sweet 16s go ...

My friend had her shower and rehearsal dinner there. The place is cute, and the food was good (I wouldn't say it was fantastic, but it wasn't bad. Like I said, it was good, hahaha). The service is good too.
As for what to give as a gift for a Sweet 16, I'm not entirely sure. You could probably get away with giving $50. But if you're hoping to get more your way come time of your wedding, then the $100 would be better to go with.
Oh one thing I do remember, the bathroom was the most disgusting bathroom I've ever been in! I seriously decided not to go to the bathroom after walking in there and seeing it. It smelled horrible (not that I ever expect a bathroom to smell good), there was toilet paper everywhere, it looked like some of the toilets had overflowed. It was a mess. Just horrible!
