Our groomsmen planned a bachelor party extravaganza lasting from yesterday until Wednesday morning... today they were going biking (FH and his friends all mountain bike) and one of our groomsmen was trying out FH's new bike and the bike chain snapped (it's brand new, clearly the shop put it together poorly) and hurt his knee... Jeff just called me to let me know that he'd dropped our groomsmen off at the hospital and was in the car taking the bike back to the shop... and to let me know that all bachelor party festivities have been cancelled... at least for tonight.
Keep your fingers crossed that gm is okay, and they can go back out and play tomorrow! Jeff was really bummed... and feels really awful, because he blames himself for the faulty bike. Here's hoping it's just a bad bruise or something! Forget not being able to walk down the aisle at the wedding... a knee injury can be really serious!

Definitely keeping our fingers crossed for your GM. I feel bad for your FH that he is worried. That's a good friend.

Re: poor FH...
update: he just called me, they're leaving the hospital. All your good wishes did the trick, because he's fine - it's a nasty bruise, but it should heal on his own.
They were especially worried because he'd previously torn a ligament in his knee, and it swelled up in the same way as it had before, but he's fine... he'll need to be good to it for a few days, but he's fine. Thank goodness!
So, the worst that happens is that their plans for tonight get put on hold... but in the end, it's all good!
