I also read today in the newspaper that he continually hit on various ladies while he was away at the Super Bowl thingy, not to mention had his 'people' approach ladies he was interested in hooking up with.

The Daily News went so far as to put it in their column that it was one of THEIR staffers that he hit on, and that she had Nick's cell phone number and it was verified .. so me thinks the boy is a tad guilty this time perhaps

I can't say I care a whole lot... though I always think its a sad thing when a marriage is in trouble (if indeed that is the case)

I really think he can control himself but the media is stupid and turns things around and makes them bigger then they seam for a story!

It sometimes has to do with money, but actors/performers (even poor ones) in general have difficulty in relationships. I left my DH(then boyfriend) for 1 1/2 yrs. because I was on tour. He left for 6 months to go on tour. It is difficult enough mataining relationship when you are both working fulltime. When you are across the country or the world it only adds to the strain.

Not discounting Heidi's point.

But I agree with Don, there is nothing poor about either of them.

i mean if i was famous and got married, i would retire immediately and go off into obscurity and live a normal life

the money, the fame, and the invasion of privacy is too much for any marriage to sustain

But when they first got married they spent way to much on their wedding and house they needed to work. And Why should you retire if its something you love doing.

because being famous usually involves huge amounts of time away from each other -- i'm not talking days, i'm talking months

it's all about priorities

I think some people, regardless of how much money they already have, love their work & have no desire to retire.

I think alot of performers, rich or poor are married to their work. It is an extension of who they are, I think, rather than a job or a paycheck. In that light, anyone who marries a performer must realize that they are, in a sense, already married. It can be to the job, the lifestyle or even the money.

I love my husband and I love performing. If I gave up either of them then I would not be happy. I believe that there is a difference between a job and a passion. Acting is not a job to me it is an extension of who I am. Without it I would feel like a part of myself was missing. Ask most actors and they will tell you that it is not something they simply do, but something that they are driven to pursue.
