I can make a ton of suggestions but I am going to DBGB, Daniel Boulud's new restaurant on Friday and its supposed to be amazing!
Becco in Midtown West is a great reasonably priced choice, especially if you are seeing a show.
My rehearsal dinner is going to be at The Smith in the East Village, very casual hot spot right now.

I LOVE the Smith... actually just ate there last weekend! Definitely recommend it. I was considering it for RD also but think I am going to stay uptown since that where my whole fam lives...

We were there for brunch on Sunday! Its awesome (those crawfish hushpuppies are my fav)!

One of my go to's is Giorgio's of Gramercy. It's a cute, cozy place on 21st between park and bway. FH is a HUGE foodie and likes to try new places all the time, but that's one of the restaurants we actually go back to quite often.

Moran's -- They have several locations around the city. I have been to the one in Chelsea twice! They are WONDERFUL!
They can accommodate small dinner parties or they have a large party room. If I didn't live on long island I would soooooooo use them for my rehearsal dinner. I have used them for work events

DBGB is SO good! definitely try a few of the sausages :)
it's also reasonably priced! by no means cheap, but it's new, trendy and doesn't break the bank
