Re: Port Jeff CC
i'm expecting the call this week to go and visit next week!!! i can't wait. i believe the restaurant is open to the public so you could probably make reservations for dinner. and i know they are having something on mothers day.
jmo: my invitations said pjcc at harbor hills because lombardi's just took over the catering not the facility.

Re: Port Jeff CC
I went this past Saturday to get lunch at the restuarant. It was not open yet and Lombardi's had the gustoppos (spelling???) at the front door. All I could see was marble entryway.

I can't wait to actually see the place too! I live in NYC, but my mom is out on LI. she wanted to go check it out and I'm having to beg her to just wait until I can get out there (even though I'm really looking forward to any first hand account!!!)

Re: Port Jeff CC
sorry martie331- i'll try to..........
just a little background....pjcc catering was privately owned until january when villa lomabardi's took over the catering and sunk in a few million in renovations. it's still pjcc but the catering is done through 'lombardi's on the sound' as it is now called. (so i think for info you may still need to contact villa lombardi's) anyway the renovations took place this past jan-april and it just reopened on May 1st.
so all of us brides signed on to the place without even looking at it! i know that i got in on a pre-construction rate since i booked before the renovations took place. unfortunately i have no idea what the prices will be like for remaining 2004-2005. i would call and ask.
if you have never been there it's set high up overlooking the sound. it's gorgeous.

Re: Port Jeff CC
i grew up in the area and had been there for dinner a few times and had always loved it. what sold me on it was (1) obviously the view and beach, (2) the amazing food of lombardi's and (3) that is was set far from a main road- to get there you have to go through a residential area. and they had the day open we wanted. since we only got engaged at the end of nov. there weren't many places available memorial day weekend still. it wound up working out perfectly!

Re: Port Jeff CC
The website is portjeffcc.com
We ended up getting a refund and going somewhere else. I know they were pretty booked for the summer of 05.
There was a post a few days ago of pics of the place.
