PORT JEFF CC OR MILLER PLACE INN

I am still on the search for the perfect location for our reception. This decision seems so hard. Anyone have any feedback on PT JEFF CC or Miller Place INN?

I'm getting married at the Port Jefferson Country Club

August 16, 2002. I think it's a beautiful place. We're also having our ceremony there too. Have you been there yet? It overlooks the LI Sound. I've heard great things about it from this board. I've heard from many other people that the food and service is really good there. Also, you're the only bride. If you have any other questions let me know!

PORT JEFF CC OR MILLER PLACE INN

PJCC has the most breathtaking view of LI Sound, if that's important to you. I also think the decor is simpler, more elegant. MPI is beautiful, just very floral decorated, mirrors and victorian-styled. It depends on what you like. They are both beautiful choices - you can't go wrong either way! Good luck!

We got married at the PJCC on 9/2/01 !!!! (m)

It was very important for us to get married overlooking the water. Our ceremony was breathtaking and the property is beautiful. The staff at PJCC are beyond incredible - Steve and Nicole helped us through the entire planning process which we did long distance and I don't know what I would have done without Darcy & Danny on our wedding day. The food is delicious and the main room is so elegant. Our cocktail hour was on the deck on a gorgeous afternoon - simply perfect. We also shot a ton of pictures on the beach adjacent to the PJCC which made our day even more perfect. If you have any specific questions, please let me know - I'd be so happy to help!

PORT JEFF CC OR MILLER PLACE INN

I've been to weddings at both and think the Port Jeff CC is much nicer - the Miller Place Inn os nice, but not as elegant and special as Port Jeff CC.

PORT JEFF CC OR MILLER PLACE INN

We checked out PJCC a few months ago. Since most of our guests are coming from NYC and western Nassau, and our church is in Nassau cty, we decided the trip out there was a bit too much. The views from the outside deck are just breathtaking. I can't remember $per plate, but I do recall that they were very, very reasonable. Good luck!

Can I ask how much you paid per person? How many people are you having? I've heard that Port Jeff CC is expensive. We have an appt next week, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

For a Friday night, and a 100 person minimum it's $75.00 pp before the 18% tax gratuity. So basically it's costing us around $9,500 for the reception. They also want a $1,000 down payment to hold the date if you haven't done so already. From what I'm hearing, it's really not expensive. I've heard worse. Good luck! Oh, if you wouldn't mind, could you ask them if the 100 person minimum includes the kids that are 13 and under who are discounted??? If you remember. Thanks!
