We found a house we LOVE there. But I don't know much about the area. Does anyone know if it is a good area? How is the school district?

I work there! For the most part it's good, some areas can be sketchy. School district is great!

Port Jeff Station is divide by two districts.. part go to Middle Country and Parts go to Comsewogue. I would say the latter is better.

That is definitely a nicer area of Port Jeff Station. Its a nice town and you get a lot for your money.
I have a few friends who live in the area. We almost bought over there but I work in the city and it was too far of a commute.

I live in Port Jefferson Station (in a part very close to Port Jefferson) and LOVEEE it! Of course there are some areas that are nicer than others, but this is basically true everywhere. Comsewogue is a great school district( I graduated from there) and right now there are some GREAT deals going on around here.

I live in the village, but there are some really nice parts of PJS, and its near a ton of shopping! Do some drive by's to see how the rest of the neighborhood looks :)

I grew up very close to there and worked in PJ for a few years... Its a great area, lots of shopping and close to water. Either SD is great I graduated from Middle Country... There is a shady neighborhood here and there but you can get that anywhere!! Where is the house??
