We found a house we LOVE there. But I don't know much about the area. Does anyone know if it is a good area? How is the school district?

It depends, Port Jefferson village is great, beautiful houses and very quaint downtown area. Certain parts of PortJeff station are nice, and some are sketchy. If you get a chance drive around the whole area you will see what I mean. Both of the school districts there are pretty good I'd say. One thing about Port Jefferson is in the summer if you go anywhere near main street it gets packed, fun to hang out there but might be would be a pain if you have to drive through.

I live in Port Jefferson Station (in a part very close to Port Jefferson) and LOVEEE it! Of course there are some areas that are nicer than others, but this is basically true everywhere. Comsewogue is a great school district( I graduated from there) and right now there are some GREAT deals going on around here.

ITA! I also graduated from Comsewogue and grew up there my whole life. There are a few areas that are not as great as others, but most of PJS is really great. FM me if you have any questions or if you want to know about a particular area/block!
