The area is definitely nice, I have 2 friends that live there. It very expensive though (for us anyway) Good luck though, Im sure youd be happy there, its beautiful

I lived there for 6 months, I know nothing about the schools but I will be honest about the town...
1) There are only 2 roads in and out of town, when it rains they both flood..not possibly flood, definitley flood!
2) Yes, it is the most adorable place ever! You have a King Kullen and great restaurants on Main Street
3) It has an LIRR stop, Deluxe is a gr8 car service and there are always tons of cabs!


If you can get over #1 then it is awesome. I only moved so that I could live with my FI in a rent controlled apt that he didn't want to lose, lol.

I live in Manhasset and have considered PW. Here are the problems:

1. It takes a while to get to and leave the town on the main road.

2. Anything under $500,000 isn't in the nice part of PW IMO.

3. The school district is good.

My aunt lives in Port Washington and has always had nice things to say about it. No complaints at all!!!
