port wine + benedryl = ???

A GOOD FEELING.



I was reallllly itchy tonight - I have allergies to strange things, and I went to see my jeweler at his house and I think I am allergic to his dog! I have a dog and so do a million people I know, but I think I must have just had a reaction to his - it was a boxer - I dunno, I have a short haired dog ... anyhow, my legs and eyes were super itchy, so I resorted to a remedy I used a few winters ago when I found out I was allergic to the elastic in underwear and knee highs (yeah that s u c k e d) -- a glass of port wine and a benedryl. Itchies are GONE almost instantly and I feeeeeeeeel finnnnnnnnnnne.

You know I am waking up now - always makes me feel sleepy at first - and I am actually a little itchy again, but not bad. It was the bottom of my feet that were itching just now, don't think that is related to the dog allergy.

I am allergic to dogs and cats, or so the allergist said, but I was raised with cats - I think I became allergic when I was away at school (you can develop an allergy at any point, apparently) and I know a ton of people who have dogs, including myself (she is snoring on the couch next to me right now). Strange!!

one time i took chlor trimeton (i think that was it) and went out with co-workers. I had 3 tanqueray and tonics and VOMITED in the bar bathroom the whole night. I was a mess.

my sister ended up throwing me under a cold shower fully clothed telling me to sober up, but i swear it was the combo.

haven't had a gin and tonic since!!

WOW. Yeah, I wouldn't take more than one drink with one.

I once forgot I took a benadryl (had taken it because of the itchies) when FH an I went out with a friend to Applebees. I had a glass of wine and FELL ASLEEP at the table.

I have done that without taking this combo though, so I do not know why I am so surprised ...

As a soon to be pharmacist I definately would not recommend this combo... i'm suprised you're still awake!
