Possible BM choices (with real life model!)

Possible BM choices (with real life model!)

My BM Sarah would KILL me if she knew I posted these, but hey, I like to live dangerously.

We went BM dress shopping this past weekend and here are some of the selections. These are from Nicole Miller. Her BM collection generally takes about 6 weeks to arrive, faster if it is in the warehouse. Her dresses are in the $300 range. I like them because even though they may be polyester, they don't look so synthetic. However, Nicole Miller is very big on an 'unfinished' hem look, which I'm not crazy about. I mean, if you're going to spend that much money on a dress, the ends could at least be hemmed!
Tip: If going to the Nicole Miller store (I went to the one at the Short Hills mall in NJ) you can make an appointment and they will pull the dresses for you in the correct size.

We both really liked this dress, but it's $520 at Bloomingdales!

I love the first one! And yes, the $520 dress is gorgeous, but not very BM-like - your friend looks great in it though!

I LOVE the first one.

I love all of them, but I think #2 and #4 may be hard to wear if you are not super skinny...
That material is so clingy and can be very unflattering!

I LOVE #1.....so gorgeous!

#3 is pretty, I would love to wear it out, but it doesn't look like a typical BM dress...

they are all very pretty. I like #1 the best for a bridesmaid.

I like the last one, but in all honesty, I dont liek any of them that much. For the money and such, you could find better. Especially because your BM is very thin, all dresses should look AMAZING on her, and they look just so-so to me.

definately #1 and the Nicole Miller store in Soho is closing and having a huge sale - maybe you can get something cheaper there?

I think we're going to keep on looking. I liked the first one the best (in a different color) but I was thinking I wanted tea-length dresses for the BMs. I'm rethinking that now. Hmm.

Did anyone else's BMs buy their dresses at a place like Saks or Bloomie's? If so, were you able to order them, or did you ahve to just buy what was there? We spoke with a person at Nordstroms, and they told us as long as they were still selling it in the store, the dress could be ordered, but Bloomingdales told us that for 'collection' dresses, once they were gone, that was it!

I like 1 or 4 the most.. the other two look like they are cut on a bias- which is not flattering on some body types..

If I had to pick a fave- #1
