Possible favor change

So we planned of doing a candy buffet as favors through our venue but we are having a hard time finding what we want to have the guests put their candy in. The knot has personalized mason jars for $1.99 each today so I thought that we should just order them. My FH really wants to give them the mason jars and it really against putting them in anything else but then we're over a grand in favors. Should we get them and put something else in the mason jars or stick with the candy and figure out something else to put the candy in??

As an alternative you could use the mason jars and fill them with you guys favorite candy instead of having the whole shmorgasboard of candy which would cut down on cost.

I was going to do the mason jars too, but between the personalization fees and the shipping fees, omg! expensive. I'm still on the hunt for good favors. If you're going to do candy, check out oriental trading, they have good choices for holders and such.

You can probably order covers on Amazon or something.
