A friend of mine suspects she might be pregnant. She isn't expecting her period for another week, but earlier this week she experienced a little bit of spotting and it has since stopped. It isn't a normal occurrence for her and she is not on the pill. I told her to take a test but she has yet to do it because she wants to wait and see if her period comes in the beginning of next week when it is due. I think I am more worried about this than she is! Do you think she should take a test? What were some of your earliest symptoms? Thanks for your help ladies!

I think she should definitely take the test for peace of mind. In my case, I was a week late and one of the symptoms that I had, was I got very sick with the worst cold.

I had alot of CM and slightly tired. The sore bb's and nausea didn't come until I was about 6 weeks.

If her period isn't due for another week it's too early for her to test. She could get a negative right now but actually be pregnant.
My first symptoms were extreme tiredness and cramps that felt different from menstrual cramps.

My early symptoms were that I got cramps a week before AF was due. Then my boobs started getting very sensitive and hurt. I think its too early for a pregnancy test to pick up if she is pregnant yet. She can try testing like 3 days before AF is due if she can't take the suspense. Some tests can detect it early.

I agree - I think its too early to test - there might not be enough of the pregnancy hormone yet - I know that I tested a day before my period was due and got a negative - and two days later it was positive.
