Possible Rehearsal Dinner Locations

I am looking for a fun, somewhat informal, somewhat inexpensive ($15-25 per person) place within 0-8 miles of Garden City/Uniondale to have my rehearsal dinner on Friday, May 2nd. In would be great if they had a private room, otherwise a section of the restaurant together would be fine too.

I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

I would look into 7th street cafe, Waterzooi (I don't believe that they have a private room but I have seen them block off half of the restaurant for a party.) There is a new restaurant on 7th street in Garden City - called Walk Street -it used to be the Newport Grill. There is also a nice restaurant hidden away in carle place near voice road called West End Cafe it was given very high write ups by Zagat and they have lots of parties there. The food is very good (they also have a great prix fixed for about 25$ and the food is much better than many of the restaurants around. It is a popular restaurant and it can be difficult to get ressies there so if you might be interested call soon)

No suggestions but wanted to say WELCOME from another bride planning from DC! There's at least 10 of us now on the boards, possibly more, and we get together from time to time. Check out this thread and let us know if you'd like to join us!

Check out St James in Mineola - it's about 2 miles north of Garden City, and has a room in the back that can be private - the food is great, but not sure on price.

I suggest you check out Jonathan's on Jericho Tpke. They start at $23. Also, Ecco just across the street from Jonathan's and Pappa Razzi in Westbury/Old Westbury.
