Possible vendor who we will NOT be using because ...

... they called us at 10:15 last night!!!

FH and I were just getting into bed to watch the remainder of the Mets game. Mind you, I work in the city and he has to be at work in Queens at 7:30, so we usually are asleep by 11:00. I've been sick the past week and so have been going to bed a bit earlier (try 9:45 on Monday night I am an old woman ... ).

Anyway, we're relaxing and drifting in and out of sleep when his phone rings. Immediately we think it's something wrong, maybe his mother calling us or someone in the hospital, because our friends and family know not to call that late.

But NO, it was a potential vendor who we had contacted earlier this week! They are a vendor on here and goodness forbid there is ever a bad thing said about an LIW vendor, so I won't use names ... but if you are out there ... just know you LOST our business and anyone else who asks us about you as well. How rude and unprofessional! We still cannot believe it.

Has anything like this happened to any of you? Vendors calling at TOTALLY inappropriate times? (On a WEEKNIGHT no less?)

Actually, about a month ago I had a missed call on my cell phone - I looked up the number and it was an Episcopal church somewhere in central PA. Now THAT was odd. Considering I've never been to central PA and I'm a lapsed Catholic. I can't believe churches are now cold calling brides to be.

so rude I had vendor once call me around 9pm on a Sunday. I guess they did not understand the first time I was not interested.

That is crazy!!! Dont these vendors understand the more the push the more business they lose!???

I agree so annoying.. i personaly can not stand phone calls unless it is arranged before hand... email me , i never want to talk on the phone ever!

I got a voice mail from a flower place yesterday asking if we wanted to make an appt. to come check out their showroom.....but we are already booked with them!!! I'm assuming its bc we recently went to an expo bc I've been getting calls from every vendor that was there but COME ON!!!!! check your books before you make the call!!!

wow, that is a little nuts!!

Funny story,...when I was younger I called a friend at like 9:30, her mom answered and screamed at me for calling so late....to this day I can't call anyone after 8:30 because I was so tramatized by my friends mom scolding me!!!
