Post Office Rave

Hey Girls! After years of hearing how horrible post offices can be, I can actually say I'm quite satisfied with mine. It's the one in Bay Shore on Fifth Ave. I had NO issues with STD's and my invites were sent out this morning. They hand cancelled the invites without even asking. They actually explained that it had to be done that way and everything went perfectly. If you are in the area and want a great post office, definitely go there.

That's my post office too! I have to go there this week.. my mail keeps getting sent back undeliverable! W T H!

I'm not sure what this means.
What did they do out of the ordinary?
Is it just because of the volume?

There's a big difference between each post office. You'll notice a difference in pricing, some places take longer to delivery, they try to charge you to hand cancel, or refuse to hand cancel, etc. When there's a good post office that makes your life easy while other brides are complaining about issues, you'll notice which ones to avoid.

Really? Sorry... I have not had any issues with them. Other places have causes CONSTANT problems... hope they can fix it though!

based on previous experience with little stuff I am totally going to try the one by work instead of by home lol

I actually work at a post office. Price is based on weight and size. That can't be changed regardless of what post office you go to. The only thing is that some clerks do not charge for hand cancelling even though they are supposed to since it's an extra service. As far as time it takes to reach a location there are a bunch of factors that figure into this. If it's local first class your guests should get the mail within a couple of days tops. If it's out of state it has to go on a plane.
