I just bought my first Christmas tree! FH and I just got our own two bedroom apartment in May, before that we rented out a tiny room. When we had our room we had a really pitiful 3 ft Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Today we just bought our first official Christmas tree and some ornaments. It cost a fortune for a decent tree It looks a little bare this year but we'll add more to it next year. We were going for a red & gold theme. So let's see pics of your Christmas trees!!!

I'll post it when it's all decorated... it only has Disney ornaments on it right now! lol The rest of the house is filled with our Christmas decoration boxes... from wedding mode to Christmas mode in one week!
But I LOVE our tree... a 14 foot VERY REALISTIC pre-lit tree we got on an AWESOME post Christmas sale last year! That's a GREAT time to buy fake trees! eta: Congratulations on your first tree!!! That's so exciting!

Wow, a 14ft tree Sarah! You're going to need a ladder to put the star on. I can't wait to see a pic of that tree I know I wanted to get a real one this year and buy our fake one after Christmas but FH wouldn't have it. We spent A LOT on a 6.5 ft pre lit artificial tree that looks pretty good. He called it an investment.

My tree is done up in a red and white peppermint candy theme so we have a string of peppermint candy and white garland that goes around the tree. It looks like snow and candy! I love my tree!!!

I like using the strands of shiny beads (like Mardi Gras beads, only in a long 3 ft strand). We have a strand of red, and one of silver. I think they come in gold, too.

Ours is so tiny because we have an apartment- but I'm excited about it because it's OUR first tree together! It's fiberoptic....so cute! We've added more ornaments since this pic...

I was going to say the same. I love those beads, I think they're just right for a tree and don't overdo it. But DH doesn't like them so much.
