Um, WOW!!! It is stunning and I love your decorating taste. One day I will get the house on the water - it is our dream. But for now it will have to be the tiny fixer-upper in Stewart Manor! But watch out, I may come to you with decorating questions!!!

What do you mean water problems?

Like leaks, or erosion?

Well, we had a leak (it practically rains sideways here because of the winds) but we had the Anderson door guy come and put some weather stripping and no problems now! We even have skylights, and no leaks...(thank god!).

As for erosion, we are very lucky. Our bulkhead is in good condition, and the bluff has many evergreen trees and plants, it's very protected from the harsh conditions.

Watch, now that I said that, my house will fall into the Sound!!!!

That's so pretty, it has a very light and soothing air to it (if that makes any sense!) What I'm trying to say is that I really like it, especially the embroidery (sp?) on the bedspread!

our bedroom is downstairs.. and it is sorta half basement?? the downstairs of our house is a converted studio apartment that we have connected to the main part of the house by a spiral stair, so its now like a master bedroom suite. Point is: only half of it has windows... the other half is underground (we are on a hill) so we plan on painting it a nice pale yellow probably to help lighten it up, and the bedding and everythign should help.

Kathy can i come to your house to take my pre-wedding pics!! i especially love the sun room-love the window and i think it looks like you have a porch right off of it---a sunroom is a must when i get a house-and on the water would be even better!! congratulations on doing such a great job and having such a gorgeous house!
