I haven't put much thought into that. Who is the one that usually hosts it?

Re: Post-wedding brunch??

My parents are having one for us the following day at the hotel we are staying at - it is acutally right next to where the reception will be. Some people are staying over that night, some of my family that is not are going to come back for it. I don't know who usually hosts it to tell you the truth.

I haven't decided yet...but I think we are going to do this. For any of the people who stayed over at the hotel...as a thank you for them coming and staying the night. I think my parents will host...either at the hotel or at their house.

I am thinking about it. We are getting married on a Friday night, I was actually thinking about doing this on Sunday at my house. I think Saturday we might be wiped out and I know the house will need to be cleaned and I think it will be a mess from Friday because that is where me and BP are getting ready.

we had a lot of out of town guests and we got married on a Friday night- my mom had a brunch catered at her house on Saturday .. it was nice & very simple.

I think we're cancelling it due to cost. I really wanted to have a brunch at the hotel, but it is $20/pp at the hotel and we will end up with over 100 people! Everyone is out of town pretty much.

My mother had one at her house the day after the wedding. It was very low key but a nice way to wind up the weekend.

Yep! We did this. We had invitations made up for our Post-Wedding Party at MIL's house. We had many OTT guests and we wanted to spend more time with them. It was great to see so many of our families in a very relaxed and causal setting. MIL rented chairs, tents and tables, got the food catered, purchased alcohol, soda, beer, drinks, etc. and it was great!

We are not doing a post wedding brunch because we are leaving for our honeymoon the morning after our wedding!!!

We plan on leaving for our HM the next day. Since our wedding is a Sun afternoon we plan on having something small that night for those who stay over.

We had a lot of out of town guests staying and the hotel where we blocked rooms. SO we hosted the brunch in one of their banquet rooms.

I can't decide whether to have a brunch. We were thinking about it cause we will have at least 20 out of town guest - but we also have limited time for honeymoon. Is it rude if we don't attend?

I don't think so - people will expect you to be leaving for your HM. Just be sure people will know you won't be there.

My mother told us that we didn't have to come to hers if we were busy, tired or whatever
