post wedding comment
hello ladies!!!
So i've almost been married for a month (!!) Wow! Time flies!!! I just wanted to make a few comments.
Im not sure how long many of you have been on Li weddings- but Ive been on it for over a year. During that time I looked to you fellow ladies for much support. One of the larger issues we had was that Atlantica Closed (in Westhampton...) which was our venue ....and our venue was moved to Long Beach- Allegria Hotel (same owner). Basically- Allegria had many issues in the beginning as well and they were 'knocked down' constantly. This made me soo scared and humiliated to even tell other brides ..or people ...where I was getting married. Basically for the rest of my engagement, I heard comments like 'I would never get married there..' 'They closed? How can you trust them?' 'thats terrible. Can you get your money and find a more reputable place?' and that made me feel even worse. It got to the point that I tried to avoid telling people where I was getting married.
BASICALLY...the point of this message is to share with everyone how SPECTACULAR the Allegria Hotel and Spa is. I could not have dreamt of anything more amazing! I got married during Hurrincane Earl and it didnt make a difference because everything went SOOO smoothly! From Ginny Jacobs, who was there the entire night to make sure there were no issues....to my bridal attendent who was BEYOND AMAZING and my maitre dee who couldnt have done more for us. Words cannot explain how perfect everything was. Just thinking about it makes me wish I could go back in time and do it all again!!!! Due to Hurricane Earl, Channel 2 news, even drove out to my house and interviewed me!!! I was on the 6:00 news!!
So in closing- all I was to say to all the other brides out there-
Things are NOT going to be perfect. There are going to be bumps in the road. But I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason!! Although it seemed like everything was going wrong-- it all turned out to be better than I could have ever wished for!! So Stick with it- and remember--when all is said and done: You have an amazing new husband!
Thanks for listen to my little ramble..and for all your wonderful support throughout my almost 2 year engagement.
I wish i could do it all over again!!
PS- I have hundreds of unprofessional pics..but my BIL has them. Once I get them I will post them. Theres a few in my album <3 you all
