We decided on booking a place for our wedding on May 24, 2006.

My official date is August 6, 2006 (that is when he got down on his knee and asked me for my hand in marriage and I received my ring).

Hmmm..I dont get it

theres nothing to get??
thats the day i got engaged we knew we couldnt afford to get married any time soon but we decided to get engaged that early anyway.... it was an excuse to get both of my grandmothers together (coming from greece) and we did.... the next year my grandmother passed away so it was really nice to at least have both my grandmothers together for the engagement party and it means the world to me that she was there for that

so i guess everything does happen for a reason huh >?
