Post your baby's nicknames ...

I was reading a feature in Parent magazine where mommies wrote in their favorite nicknames for their babies & how they came to be. What a cute & fun article!

Let's hear your stories mom's!!!

I've been calling Maria 'Principessa' ... just seems to fit!

We don't know what we are having (boy or girl). We want to be surprised. But ever since our first sonogram when the baby was nothing more than a little dot or spec, we started calling baby Specky. Now we call the baby Specky all the time until the baby arrives of course and we have a name.

In utero: Boo, Boo baby, Peanut, peanutbutter, Butterbaby, peapod were a few I called Luke.

Now I still call him Boo, it's my own personal nn for him. Dh & I still refer to him as the Peanut though
A typical phone conversation with my DH when he is at work starts with him asking 'How's the Peanut?'

Sadly, Baby #2 is just called 'the new baby' We've tried to come up with stuff but nothing seems to stick. The second child syndrome

Her nicknames have nothing to do with her name...

Sweet Baby Doll (that's my favorite)

Honey Bunny

Puffalump (I don't know why - it just came out)

Buzz (she has an outfit that has this on it)

In utero, we all called her Skittle, because when we were looking at the early sonograms, my father said she was the size of a Skittle. That name just stuck.
