Post your Fav wine...if possible post one red and one white

Red- Estancia which is a Cab Sav
White- Sainta Margheretta which is a Pinot Grigio

This may help me go pick some good ones up instead of the 2 or three that I always get. Plus I have a new 36 bottle wine fridge that I need to fill.

I dont' have specific brands for you. I usually drink white wine and my favorite is Reisling. Chateau Ste. Michelle makes a good one.

As far as red wine, my friend had me try Shiraz the other day and I really liked it.

I have lots of faves and I am partial to Finger Lakes wine. I like wines from Lakeshore, Arcadia Estate Winery, Glenora and Swedish Hill. Funny, though, Finger Lakes wines are hard to find in the stores here, so we stock up when we visit.

Do you know what area/region these wines are from?

There's two big wine trails, one along Seneca Lake (from Watkins Glen north) and one along Cayuga Lake (from Ithaca all the way up to Geneva, NY).

You might find Dr. Constantine Frank's wines and Bully Hill wines down here- those are two of the more well known ones, but those are on Keuka Lake, which is further west in central NY.

Are you still in NY? Because it's a great place to visit. There are lots of really nice bed and breakfasts and many, many wineries. It's a beautiful area. We have so much fun when we go but spend to much on wine. If you were interested in ordering online I could find some sites for you.

I have the wine fridge as well! Technically, it's FH's since I gave it to him as a present, but whatever

Red- Estancia Pinot Noir (I'm not a huge fan of reds, but this one is very smooth and tastes great)

White- Erich Bender Gerwurztraminer for a slightly sweet wine, 2001 Franciscan Oakville Estate Chardonnay for a more buttery, oaky flavor.

I can't think of a red off the top of my head but for white, our main faves are both Chards ... Simi and Coppola

YES!!! They sell it at the liquor store in the Country Glen Shopping Center on Old Country Rd near Roosevelt Field. FH happened upon it one day which was fantastic because it was around the time they stopped serving it at Houstons. Best part--it's only $11.99 a bottle! We were paying something like $20-23 at Houstons!

No brands in particular, we're always trying new ones, but:

White: Chardonnay, but it's gotta be really creamy, oaky, buttery

Red: Shiraz or Rioja

White- Pricipessa or Sainta Margheretta, Pinot Grigio

I'm not much of a white wine drinker, but Santa Margharita is oretty good.

My favorite red wines tend to be Chiantis. My absolute favorite bottle is Ruffino Chianti Classico Riserva Gold Label.

I like any of Ruffino's Chianti Wines.
