I am not the connesiuer (sp?) of fine wines that I would like to be...but I figured for 2004 I would give it a shot. I prefer white. What's your favorite?
Definitely like fruity sweet wines over reds - I love most Pindars though - and Luna di Luna.

Cabernet's are my favorites followed closely by a real oaky Chardonnay.
My newest fave in Cabernet's - Caymus. So smooth - no bitter aftertaste.
I like Berringer Cab...Sunflower Chardonnay (Pindar) is my favorite Chard.

I prefer Chardonay when Im drinking white. I don't know if I have a favorite, yet. I am supposed to have a glass every other day or so, so basically I drink a bit of it to say the least. I've tried several. Most I don't even taste. Just keep it cool and I'll sip through it. Takes me forever to get through a glass.
I really really love my Cabernet Savignon though by Clos do Val (NOT Clos du Bois!!!) It packs a great kick but it's very nice and smooth with a full flavor. Only one glass is needed. Jim & I get bottles of this for special occasions from a store in midtown. It's specially ordered for us cause of my old coworkers knows the owner. It's not rare or anything but it's Californian and hard to come by.

i love francis coppola's rosso for red and for whites i prefer reislings, such as schmidt shoens (not sure of the spelling)

I prefer red-Simi Cabernet Savignon and Villa Mt. Eden Cabernet Savignon are two of my favorites.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio is a great Italian white.

Hands down: pindar sweet scarlet... Not a fan of white, I prefer champagne (veuve cliquot) & asti spumante (martini & Rossi)

DH and I are very into wine... my favorites are:
Reisling: Jamesport Chardonnay: Chateau St. Jean Merlot: Frog's Leap 2001 Cabernet: Coppolla Black Label Diamond Series Claret Dessert wine: Kendall Jackson 1997 Late Harvest Style Chardonnay
Special: Robert Mondavi Boomerang and Ledson 'Old Vine' Dry Creek Valley Cabernet(they only sell these at the vineyard, which we went to for our honeymoon!)
Look how beautiful this place is! This is Ledson... some of the best wine we had, and definitely one of the most stunning architecture as well. This is one of the few vineyards in CA that ships to NY (because they don't distribute here). I wish we could go back right now!!
I just got into Turning Leaf Merlot or the Cabernet. the australian wines are very good also.

I don't like red wine, but most of my favorite wines come from Martha Clara Vineyards on Long Island. I love the rose, Bernie, and their 2002 Chardonnay. I also really like Duck Walk (also on Long Island), especially the dessert wines. The Windmill White is good as well.
I have never really liked wine, and neither has FH, but we decided to go to some vineyards when we went out east in October and wound up coming home with 10 bottles of wine. I still definitely don't like reds, but have found some white and rose that I really like and have been drinking much more wine in the last few months than in my entire life. I wish I knew more about wine and what's good. I'm trying to learn.
