post your photographer review...

I am on my search for a photographer...I know a lot of you have been there, done that...could you post what you thought about your photographers? Good or bad reviews welcome...there are so many to choose from, I don't even know where to start!!!

ETA: obviously everyone wants different types of packages, but RELATIVE to the other people you saw, was your photographer reasonably priced? a bargain? or on the expensive side? THANKS!!!!!

Photographer/Videographer:Velvet Studios (Gerry, Iris, Jamie, Julia) 10+++++
I was disappointed when I found out that Bob wasn’t going to be shooting our wedding, but that is where the disappointment ended! Gerry was our traditional photographer, Iris did photojournalist shots, Julia shot video, and Jamie was the assistant who also shot candid color shots). Now I haven’t seen pictures yet but all I can say is we had a BLAST with them all day, they were all on time, courteous, sooo nice, and I could sense that we were going to get good pictures from all they did…..more on this later when we get the proofs!
Pricewise, I thought they were definitely reasonable for all we got!!

Dominic showed up at my house on time and was easy to work with. He worked with what he had: a bride with no dress, a matron of honor with no finished dress, a mother of the bride furiously sewing and not yet showered and an empty and stress filled house. He showed me a few pics and they looked great – can’t wait for the finished product! He even stood extra at the reception hall (we had him for 6 hours) to make sure he got extra shots because he felt he wasn’t done. I loved the fact that he worked so well with Jerry, our videographer. Geraldine, our second photographer (had her for 10 hours) was so very nice and professional. I am so glad we had her because I love her photojournalistic eye. My DH saw a few pics and was blown away. Definitely book them!

i haven't posted a full review yet but i loved bernadette. she's a vendor on here and i posted some proofs by her. she was with us the whole day and everyone loved her. btc photography.

Here is my photographer review from my review.
Marcy Studio – 10++
Our photographer was Chuck (the owner) from Marcy Studio. Chuck was wonderful. He got to my house early because he thought that he was going to have to wait for me but you all know how anal I am so I was actually dressed and waiting for him. As you will see from my proofs he did a beautiful job. Since we got our limos through him, he had a limo come and pick us up on Monday to bring us to the airport instead of a town car.

I'm using K & J photography. I've only used them for my engagement shots so far since my wedding is 9/3/06. A friend of mine also used them and she's been very happy so far.

I shopped around quite a bit for photography and video. They are doing both for me. I was able to customize my package to fit my need instead of picking a pre-made package. I'm 100% confident and happy with my choice :)
