Since we are getting married at the RH we didn't have a reception card, just 'Adult Reception to Follow' at the bottow of our invite.
Our response cards says........
RSVP

M__________________________________ _________will attend _________ # attending _________ unable to attend

You could, but you don't have to. I think most people today assume there is a cocktail hour. The last few invitations I got did not mention the CH. But some samples I saw said things like
Adult Cocktail and Dinner Reception at time place
Or
Cocktails, dinner and dance at time place
I just liked the flow of just saying reception better and as I said before I think most people realize that there is usally a CH first. If not well I figure they will be happily surprised!
