Rachel I like those. Where did you register for those.

Re: Post your stemware...
We registered for them at Macy's. They are Marquis by Waterford. We also got the high ball glasses and the regular drinking glasses to match.

Re: Post your stemware...
I'll have to check fortunoffs. We registered at Fortunoffs and C&B
Our registry is so mixed. C&B has all the barware that is blue (like I posted above) and Fortunoffs has all the clear glasses we'll use everyday (tumblers, drinking glasses, juice glasses)
People are really going to think we are nuts

Well, not as nuts as us. We registerd at Pottery Barn and Macy's but the ONLY thing on my Pottery Barn registry is my bedding. I just felt funny registering for clocks and things like that.

Re: Post your stemware...
I haven't (and don't intend to) register for any stemware at all. My fiance and I don't drink, and we never ever have company. Am I complete freak and weirdo?

Re: Post your stemware...
I have not even added bedding, linens or fine china yet. Thats all going to be next year.
I have (I am not kidding) 110 items on C&B and 50 items on Fortunoffs and I actually took stuff off. I did register for a clock on Fortunoffs and a scale.
I did feel funny about putting them on but I have friends who have told me put it on you will really be surprised at what people will buy you even though you think they wont.

Not at all! Register for what you want and need. There's no reason people should spend their money on something you never intend to use!

Re: Post your stemware...
That last post was for you minnie.
Well, I was actually thinking of going onto my registries and changing some stuff later. I was just looking at my macy's registry, and i was like, what was I thinking when I registered for some of this stuff? Fun Sunday! Woohoo!

Re: Post your stemware...
minni no you are not a weirdo.
We really werent going to register for much stemware, but we're going to have a house built and since its a new house we want to really fill it up with new stuff. We bought our own everyday dishes and they are white with a colbolt blue trim so all of our glasses are either blue or clear.
We have so much stuff already and figured we would just put some stuff on our registries but then I started seeing things I do like and though we dont have many parties we do plan on having lots of BBQ's and since we'll be living in FL we figure we'll be having lots of friends planning vacations and visiting us.

Re: Post your stemware...
Thanks, Rachel. I was beginning to feel like some kind of freak. And, to be honest, I really don't like entertaining, which is why I wouldn't use stemware or even china. Does anyone else feel this way, or am I alone in this? Also, I don't 'really' cook, but I did register for all the cool kitchen gadgets, hoping that may entice me to learn.

Re: Post your stemware...
Princess I just did that. I actually looked at my registries and did the 'what was I thinking'
and I also did what you just told Minnie I looked back at the stuff and thought will I really use this or am i just registering for it because its pretty.
So i took off stuff i knew i wouldnt use and if i would use what would i use it for and if i couldnt come up with a logical answer, it came off.

Re: Post your stemware...
FI does not want to register for china. he keeps asking me why would someone want to spend all that money on our china where we will use it 2 times a year.
I said because its pretty and you need to have china.
So I have china picked out, not sure if we will register for it.
I do not cook in any way, but registered for all the cool kitchen stuff because FI does all the cooking. I also registered for a cooking book so I am hoping that gives me inspiration.

Chippatrid, you're too funny - and just like me. Getting all this stuff may very well inspire us! I agree about the FL too; you will definitely have use for all the stuff there!

Re: Post your stemware...
so far I can make chillie and vodka sauce. I dont really do much else. wait i also bake.
on easter sunday since Brian had to work I baked brownies, cupcakes, and cookies for him to bring to work for everyone else who was working on easter and he is still getting compliments about it. I went out with him one night about 2 weeks ago and one of the guys came up to me and hugged me and thanked me for making the best brownies he has ever tasted.
My next baking task is to make that cake with the strawberries and blueberries that is the american flag. FI has to work on July 4 so I figure that would be a cool cake for him to bring in.

We registered for Lenox platinum rimmed wine glasses and goblets.. they are plain- not cut because I am not a fan of cut crystal- reminds me of my grandma.
For everyday I got a set of red wine, white wine and champagne glasses from Crate & Barrell.. they are great because we entertain a lot and we drink wine a lot and they are only $3.50 each so if they break, no big deal!!!

Re: Post your stemware...
Hey, wait, I CAN do desserts too!! Woo hoo, I'm a 'cook'! I didn't know that counted! Maybe I could invite everyone over for dessert. That's a great idea! I have to tell my sis in law. My brother is still serving in Iraq, and she would love to make that for him upon his return (if he ever comes home).

Re: Post your stemware...
We went ahead and registered for china. I happen to love having people over and I always used to feel like it was a special occassion when my mother used her china, so I always figured I would have it too. More of a sentimental thing though. But hmm, let me see what I REALLY do NOT need on my registry.....

Re: Post your stemware...
Definatly counts in my book.
I am craving a home baked cake so i think this week I am going to make a layered cake one night when FI is working and surprise him when he comes home.
Dont worry he'll come home, and he'll have lots of desserts waiting for him.
