Re: Post your wedding song with your future husband
DrmnBlnd we were thinking of I could not ask for more also, I think the words really hit becuase that is a moment that you will remember all your lives.
FI really wants I swear by all for 1, he dedicated it to me when we first started dateing 8 years ago butI think it is a bit childish sounding.
I never thought of Cant help falling in love, actually it brings tears to my eyes becuse a family friend sang it acapella to us at our engagement party.
So I think it is down to either I could not ask for more or here and now by Luther.

Re: Post your wedding song with your future husband
Here's another song that we will use ... again piano by Jim Brickman vocals by Michelle Wright.
YOUR LOVE
it's not the flowers, wrapped in fancy paper it's not the ring, i wear around my finger There's nothing in all the world i need when i have you here beside me, here beside me
Chorus so you could give me wings to fly and catch me if i fall or pull the stars down from the sky so i could wish on them all but i couldnt as for more cuz your love is the greatest gift of all
in your arms, i found a strength inside me and in your eyes there's a light to guide me i would be lost with out you and all that my heart could ever want has come true
so you could give me wings to fly and catch me if i fall or pull the stars down from the sky so i could wish on them all but i couldnt as for more cuz your love is the greatest gift of all
you could offer me the sun, the moon and i would still believe you gave me everything when you gave your heart to me
so you could give me wings to fly and catch me if i fall or pull the stars down from the sky so i could wish on them all but i couldnt as for more cuz your love is the greatest gift of all

Re: Post your wedding song with your future husband
We are using a song by a relatively unknown Austin, TX band. We went to their concert on our first date. The words aren't important to us, but reliving all those exciting feelings on our first date is.

We are using 'I Will Always Love You' by Taylor Dayne
We are thinking of using 'Glory of Love' by Peter Cetera for our good luck dance..

NYCMeghan - I thought you were kidding!!!
ETS: I didn't get to follow that thread after I posted!
I was kidding at first - but then I downloaded the song and played it a lot yesterday and started thinking - FH and I are jokesters, so having a funny 80s song is totally in character, plus its short which is good since FH hates to dance...
I'm still looking, but we'll see...

You're the Best- Carly Simon
My FI loves this song and he thinks it fits...
'I wasn't lookin' but somehow you found me...'
I don't know anyone who has had that song! I also love In My Life by the Beatles.

Ours was 'Love Will Keep Us Alive' by Eagles. We choose it for the lyrics and words only.

Re: Post your wedding song with your future husband
Being a huge jazz and blues freak, I've wanted Etta James' 'At Last' ever since I knew FH was the one...he agrees.
But we're torn between that one, 'Someone Like You', Van Morrison and 'Nearness of You', Norah Jones.

Re: Post your wedding song with your future husband
I also had a Jim Brickman song it was sung by Jane Krakowski (from Ally McBeal)
Artist: Jim Brickman Song Title: You
I never felt alone I was happy on my own And who would ever know there was something missing I guess I didn't see the possibility It was waiting all the time But it never crossed my mind Till you opened up my eyes Now all I think about is
CHORUS: You in my life In my dreams In my heart I know it's true That I belong with you Because of you in my world In my arms I have everything and now I can't imagine what I'd do Without you
I never thought that love could be Such a curiosity But what attracted you to me Was so unexpected But it was waiting all the time And it never crossed my mind Until you opened up my eyes Now all I think about is
CHORUS (x2)
In my life In my dreams In my heart I know it's true That I belong with you Because of you in my world In my arms I have everything and now I can't imagine what I'd do I can't imagine what I'd do Without you Without you
