I had posted this question about a week ago, but I am still unsure what to do. I have a pocketfold invitation...3 inserts, ribbon, and a tag. No fancy rhinestones/buckles or anything. Two post offices confirmed that it would cost .78 to mail my invitations (standard envelope). However, one post office told me that it is on the border of considered a small parcel. When she tried to put it through this slot, she had to give it a tap to go through...She said it should go through on its own or you'll have to pay for a parcel's postage which is 1.57!!!!!
The man at one of the post offices said that he has been working there for over 30 years and another lady next to him just as long...Both of them said it would go through the mail as a standard letter. Tessa thinks that it will be fine, too. What do you think I should do?
BTW- I sent one to myself yesterday...so I HOPE that it comes in the mail today. If so, then I should be okay with the .78 stamp. Any other suggestions?

Re: Postage...
Sounds like I have a similar type pocketfold invitation. I sent using 2 stamps (so I paid .88) and everyone got them! They were also questioning it because they had to flatten my invitation a little and then it slipped through the slot. But, some really didn't without doing that. I think once they are hand cancelled by the post office they have to send them.

Re: Postage...
Mine doesn't fit through the slot (big knot on the bow) and I was told $.89, $1.04, $1.22 and $1.39. We got $1.39 postage just in case, especially since that was from the largest post office we went to. But $1.58 sounds like a lot. It doesn't automatically become a small parcel if it doesn't fit through the slot, you pay more for hand sorting. I think sending it to yourself is wise. See what happens.
