Postage - Help opinions, please

Postage - Help opinions, please

I'm mailing out my invitations next week and I think I need .60 cents for the outer envelope.

But, didn't like the old Love stamps (and their beginning to be hard to find too!) and so I bought for the Response cards the new Love stamp but doesn't come in .60 cents. And the other .60 cents stamps aren't so nice.

What do I do : Do I keep looking until I find the 60. cent Old Love stamp?

Could I put (2) new Love stamps on outter envelope so they match the Response Cards?

How does that look, putting 2 stamps on the envelope? Tacky - yes/no? or

It just doen't matter?

Hi there,

I'm getting married the day after you but I'm not sending invites until the 1st or second week of March, so you have time to send them, but that is up to you. Someone at the post office told me there is a new wedding style stamp coming in March, so if you wait they may have that available.

I HOPE they aren't tacky I USED the first one for my invites and I think they were fine - it wasn't like there were many choices out there.

This would be my answer. There are so many things to exert effort on and IMO this isn't one of them.

It's a stamp.

Do you know who notices stamps on wedding invites? Brides planning their wedding.

Jess2 thanks anyway.

I'm sending them out next week so everyone will have exactly 1 month to respond. My respond date is April 5th and so I can't wait for those stamps, it would be too much for me to do all at once (assembly of invites, stamping and mailing).

And plus, I've already started putting the stamps on the Respond cards

Rob-luvs-me, sorry I meant using 2 stamps as being tacky. Not the stamp itself.

Sorry for any confusion.

Go to www.usps.com and order them there. They have them in wedding packs of 60 cents and 37 cents. Don't put two candy stamps, not because it's tacky, but it's wasting a tiny bit of money.

LOL - NOT offended just laughing -

Well the love stamps came in .60 and .37 so I used the 60 for the outside and the 37 for the inside

I was going to do that, but I liked the Candy hearts more then the other Love stamp and now I'm having trouble.

Why couldn't the Postal Service come out with the Candy hearts in .60 cents? They made last years LOVE stamp in both .37 and .60 cents. And for the flower stamp (which is coming out in March) they say to use as a wedding stamp. They should have issued it in January, because weddings can be in any month.

Sorry I needed to vent, thanks for listening

I'm sure it doesn't matter. My only thought was that you'll overspend on postage but if that's not a concern then go for it.
