postage on invites

postage on invites

does anyone know what the difference is between mailing a square vs rectangle invite? I heard that a square is considered irregular, so there are higher postal requirements. Is this true?

squares are at least 1.05 just based on the shape...

yeah it's so annoying but the square envelopes are more money.

what!!! that's crazy!!!! that means i will have to spend over $1 sending out my invites! not including my rsvp envelopes!!!!

yup its true! found that out after i ordered our invites..... it was a $1.05, but we ended up doing more bc i didnt like the cake and ring stamp together. so we did 2 cake stamps on each which was 1.32 each.
